FOOTNOTE:

*The year by year unwarranted complaint, from quite possibly the same person, has led to costs of well over £8000 being levied on the Parish Council – money that has had to be charged to every household!

Every parishioner has, of course, the right to complain, should there be something of concern, and the Parish Council would most certainly wish to know of any such.  Unfortunately, the complainant in Dilwyn’s case chooses to go straight to the external auditor who is then obliged to investigate; this, of course, leads to extra charges.

There is already scope within existing procedures for a complaint to be laid initially with the Parish Clerk; it would most certainly be dealt with promptly and efficiently.  Should the complainant not be satisfied with the outcome, that is the time to go elsewhere, but not before.

IT IS VERY MUCH TO BE HOPED, TO THE BENEFIT OF EVERYBODY, THAT THIS SIMPLE PROCEDURE WILL BE FOLLOWED BY ALL IN THE FUTURE.
